Model Release and Recording Consent Agreement

Parties

This agreement is made between: Provider / Teacher: Cristina Alarcón Merlos, under the business name ¡Anchoa es Castilla!


and Participant ("Student"):

1. Purpose of Recording

The Student agrees to participate in audio and/or visual recordings, including screen recordings of online lessons, for educational and commercial purposes.


2. Grant of Rights

The Student grants the Teacher a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to:

  • Record their participation (including voice, name, username, and any visible contributions such as chat, shared documents and video)

  • Use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, and display these recordings


This includes use in:

  • Educational materials

  • Marketing and promotional content

  • Online platforms (e.g. website, social media, course platforms)


3. Nature of Participation

The Student understands that:

  • Participation in recorded sessions is voluntary

  • They may choose not to use video or identifiable names where possible

  • However, some identifying elements (e.g. voice, username) may still be captured


4. Waiver of Rights

The Student:

  • Waives any right to inspect or approve final materials

  • Waives any right to compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing


5. Data Protection and Privacy (UK GDPR)

The Teacher will process personal data in accordance with:

  • the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)

  • the Data Protection Act 2018


The legal basis for processing is:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a))

  • and/or legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), where applicable


The Student understands that:

  • Recordings may be stored securely and retained for as long as necessary for the stated purposes

  • Once published, full deletion may not be possible (e.g. third-party platforms)


6. Withdrawal of Consent

The Student may withdraw consent at any time prior to publication of the material.

After publication:

  • The Teacher will make reasonable efforts to remove content where possible

  • However, complete removal cannot be guaranteed


Where lessons are provided at no cost or at a reduced rate in exchange for consent to record and publish such material, withdrawal of consent after the lesson has taken place may result in the Student being required to pay the standard fee for the lesson, or a proportion thereof, reflecting the value of the services already provided.


7. No Sensitive Data Intended

The recordings are not intended to capture sensitive personal data. The Student agrees not to voluntarily disclose sensitive information during recorded sessions.


8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Teacher shall not be liable for third-party use or misuse of published content.


9. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
