Your skills in the target language

In terms of learning and the language you'd like to learn with me, how would you rate your abilities in the following areas?

Homework

During our lessons we’ll practise a lot, but practising between lessons is very important to solidify learning. That said, it can also be a source of stress, so it is always considered voluntary and you choose how to go about it.

Multi choice

Before moving on...

About the tutor

This section is mostly about my main terms and conditions (as seen in my website).

When you agree to have classes with me, you essentially agree to these terms, so it is important that you familiarise yourself with them in order to make informed decisions.

Relevant info is explained briefly and lists the corresponding section of the terms. Once you have read and understood it, tick the box underneath each paragraph to indicate you understand and agree to it.

If you don’t understand something, leave it for now, and we will review it together during the consultation.

Prices, payments and returns

Prices

(Section 2. Prices in the Terms and Conditions)

Prices of the lessons and lesson packages can be found on

www.anchoaescastilla/prices

Prices are subject to change at my discretion and changes will be notified previously in writing.

Classes and packages are to be paid at least the day before class. Failure to do so without any notice may result in the loss of a slot in the calendar.

Returns

(Section 3. Returns in the Terms and Conditions)

If you pay for a lesson and cancel properly, or if you buy a package, and haven’t used or lost any classes from it, you have 14 calendar days from the day of purchase to request a refund.

Any processing fees from payment platforms (for example, Square or Stripe) will be deducted from the refund amount.

Outside of the refund window

(Section 3. Returns/ 3.2 “Class packs missing classes...”)

If you buy a package, and have used or lost classes from it, but no longer want or need classes, you can give, transfer or sell the remainder to someone else (on your own terms).

If you do, you will let me know in writing of who is receiving them.

Alternatively, you can also donate them to a fund/ pool for people who can’t afford them.

Validity period

(Section 2. Prices/ 2.3 Validity)

If you buy a class or a package, you have one calendar year to

use it from the time of purchase.

Extension of this period can be requested in writing before it ends, otherwise, the leftover lessons go automatically to the lesson fund.

Cancellations

(Section 4. Cancellations)

Cancellations need to be notified in writing one calendar day before a class is scheduled, otherwise they will be lost (or removed from a package). They can also be cancelled and rescheduled using the digital calendar tools given, as long as it is done one calendar day before.

The lessons are held for 15 minutes and if no previous notice of lateness is given, they are considered a no-show, resulting in the loss of the class.

The previous case initially is not applied to technical problems outside the control of both parts (tutor and student), like for example power cuts or internet connection becoming unavailable.

If happening repeatedly without finding solutions, or if suspected to be used as an excuse to be late or to not show up, this exemption will no longer be applicable.

Bona finde

Section 4. Cancellations/ 4.4. Bona fide.

Understanding that everything can’t be predicted and cancelling the previous day isn’t always possible, in good faith I offer a “strikes” system.

This consists in the first late cancellation or no show is registered, but doesn’t incur in any sort of loss. If the same case happens to me, it gets registered as well, and takes off one unit from the students count.

Beyond the first one, late cancellations and no shows will be lost, though!

Referrals

Most of my students have learnt about me from a recommendation by another student(s).

As a thank you, if you have recommended me to another person, you’ll receive a free lesson when they pay for their first ten lessons (in any combination of lessons and packages).

This lesson can be used once the new student’s are outside of

the reimbursing window.

Conduct

Section 5. Conduct

The classroom, online or else, is meant to be a safe and inclusive space, LGTBQIphobia, ableism, racism, etc. are not welcome.

Moderate misbehaviour will be addressed either in class or in writing afterwards, to correct it and improve onwards.

Gross misbehaviour on the part of the learner will result in a cessation of the service without the right to a refund and if applicable, reported to the relevant authority.

That's it!
