Manolo doesn't know he is a cat

People of Albacete! I've stumbled upon a lovely bookstore in my hometown, Manolo No Sabe Que Es Un Gato (a name as unusual as mine!), where they've welcomed me to work on projects.

If you're from or visiting Albacete and would like to check out some of the events happening at the bookstore, you can take a look at her instagram or her whatsapp channel, "Cosas que hacemos en Manolo".

There's everything from poetry to wine and chocolate tastings!

The storefront of the bookstore, Manolo Doesn't Know It's a Cat, features a sign in the center with a logo of a black cat behind some books.

The storefront is almost entirely glass, with a black metal frame, while the interior is white and open.

Let's Speak English

Since I've had to stay here longer than expected after being in the hospital this past Christmas, I've decided to take advantage of this time to do the things I've been wanting to do for a while, like organising language practice meetups. I started the process of finding a place to stay in London... but it stalled. Now it seems like everything has aligned and it's really flowing.

Last Monday, February 9th, we had our first meetup. I went in expecting no one to come, or that attendance would be mediocre, but in the end, some people showed up and we had a really great time.

Here's the poster for the next meetup:

Yellow poster with the following text:

Let's Speak English!

Speak, ask questions, practice, listen, play... The group decides the content. A safe space to use English, without pressure.

Voluntary contribution.

Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm.

With ¡Anchoa es Castilla! (www.anchoaescastilla.com)

At Manolo no sabe que es un gato (Manolo Doesn't Know He's a Cat), Bookstore and Cultural Space, Plaza de la Catedral 6, Albacete

I hope yo see you there!

A smiling, white, somewhat female presenting person with round glasses, curly, short hair, a gold-yellow scarf and a similar yellow and white jumper.
For anyone who may have noticed: the jumper's yellow matching the promo's colour is not a coincidence.
